WORKSHOP ON INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR SPACE OPTICS:

Active Optics, Free Forms, Straylight Modelling and Test

23-26 November 2015, ESA/ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands

Workshop Overview

This workshop focuses on selected topics on innovative optical technologies identified as enabling for future missions or critical in the improvement of current mission concepts.
This event will provide the opportunity to collaborate, network, and share the latest findings in an informal gathering on three main topics, considered key to the development of high performance optical systems for Space.

Why a workshop and not a conference:

The format of the workshop has been selected to give better opportunities to exchange ideas and methodologies by close and informal interaction of specialists in the field. Questions will be allowed during talks and open discussions initiated at the end of each sessions.

In the frame of the United Nations International Year of Light celebrations, the workshop will have the honour to host on November 25th a keynote talk on Optical Metrology by Dr. Ronald Holzwarth (Max Plank Institute of Quantum Optics, member of the 2005 Nobel Physics Prize team).
