The conference will be held at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig, Germany, located at approximately 60km from Hanover. To view the website, please click here, to see a map of Braunschweig click here.

Getting to the venue

The closest airport to Braunschweig is the Hanover international airport (HAJ). 
Continuation with rental car: Exit the airport and continue onto Flughafenstraße/B522 for 1.8 km. Take A2 exit toward Berlin and keep following the signs indicating Berlin for approximately 50km. Take the exit 53-BS-Watenbüttel for B214 toward BS-Watenbüttel/Celle. Turn right onto B214 (follow the signs for Braunschweig) and continue driving on this road for 4.4 km.

To reach PTB:  In Watenbüttel, turn right onto Hans-Jürgen-Straße at the second traffic light and continue onto Bundesallee until you have reached your destination which will be on your left after 1 km. 

To reach downtown Braunschweig: continue along B214 and follow the instructions that you get from your hotel, or chose the option given as “from the West” below.

Continuation by other means: 
You can either take a taxi from Hanover airport to Braunschweig which will take about 45 -60 minutes. There are also several shuttle services available that can be pre-booked.  
You may use Deutsche Bahn: Use S-Bahn to Hanover central station, transfer there, and continue to Braunschweig main station . Journey time by train is typically 90 minutes, depending on the time-of day. Check time tables at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en 





By train

Braunschweig main station is connected to the ICE lines Frankfurt - Berlin and Köln – Hannover – Magdeburg. Check time tables at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en .

Travel times: from Frankfurt ca 3 hours, from Berlin main station 1,5 hours, from Hannover main station 35 minutes.

If you are travelling by train, from Braunschweig Hauptbahnhof (Braunschweig's main station),  take bus 411, direction Lamme, to Paracelsusstraße (about 30 min. drive) and transfer to bus 433 going in the same direction to PTB (two more stops) or make a 15-min. walk to PTB.

By plane
