Abstract Submission

Presentations will be selected on the basis of one-page A4 abstracts. Abstracts should include the following information:

  • Title
  • Authors full name and affiliations
  • Proposed topic
  • Indication of any facility requirement for live demonstration
  • Presentation preference (oral, poster, demonstration)

The on-line submission form includes a selection of potential macro areas of reference:

  • applied multivariate analysis, data mining
  • computing power and storage scalability
  • costs and weighting factors
  • data access and use policies, licensing of derivative work
  • data capturing and description
  • data interoperability, retrieval, navigation
  • data protection, and trustworthiness
  • data delivery timeliness, distribution services, network capacity
  • data slicing, subsetting, extraction
  • data variety, fusion, correlation
  • data visualisation, rendering, video streaming
  • peak data processing
  • performance indicators for big Earth data services
  • systematic data processing
  • spatial on-line analytical processing systems
  • sustainability of big Earth data services

Oral presentations shall include presentation background, rationale and context, disciplines touched upon, experience and examples, including accurate description of concerned data types and their use, major challenges and limitations, lessons learned, any innovation aspects and recommendations.

Posters shall be dimensioned as height 120 cm, width 80 cm. Posters titles have to be at the top, 25 mm high and in capital letters. Names of the authors have to be clearly mentioned. Authors will have to put their posters up at their arrival: posters location will correspond to the abstracts number. Authors are requested to be next to their posters during the poster sessions.

Following notification of acceptance,authors can choose if to submit a full paper.
